As a photographer I tend to go for the more obscure angles and spend time composing in my mind (and in camera) what I want the image to look like.

When it comes down to portraits you have the classic look which is posed and perfect, or more candid shots as they can look more natural as people are not as aware of the camera and so do not ‘fake’ the look. If you don’t have any models, or family willing to pose for you – despair not, there are always street performers or public events or festivals where you find someone willing to have their photo taken – just ask!

Everyone loves a landscape or two, not my go-to genre, but if I am out and about with the camera then when an opportunity arises I take time to see what’s around and hopefully come out with something pleasing.

I like to get low, try to look at things differently and maybe photograph the things that other people miss because something else ‘more interesting’ catches their attention.

Photography is everywhere, photography is everything, photography is there .. you just have to look, it’s on your doorstep!
